I loved this show in Chicago. The only business I had a conundrum with was the fact that Wednesday’s character completely changed. Wednesday was permanently my favorite character.

@Improvizer No, the movies, the 30′s cartoon, the 60′s show, the 70′s TV show, the 90′s show, and the animations are *not* enough. Of course we need to have a musical as well. Duh.

@jokeris1

June 8th, 2010 - 04:33
the small boy sounds fantastic!! his small solo was awesome!
June 8th, 2010 - 04:50
Did Gomez use trademark phrases like “Cara Mia” or “Cadida”when he talked to Morticia?
June 8th, 2010 - 05:29
@Xwildwoodxflower Lol she certainly did not improve! I saw it in New York and she was still… “ehhh”
June 8th, 2010 - 06:14
@missmay2013 hahah i reckon so.
I just hope they got her singing lessons and it’s improved since chicago. produce everyone else is fantastic. and she just cant keep up with them!
June 8th, 2010 - 06:31
@Xwildwoodxflower Agreed. I reckon we just might be the only two that realize that her in this role was a no no.
June 8th, 2010 - 06:54
@missmay2013 I recognize. i saw it in chicago. and honestly Bebe’s singing was AWFULLL. i just didnt like her at all as morticia. reconcile it or not i thought SJB would have been really excellent as morticia. Bebe just wasnt amusing or intriguing. she couldnt hold her own..and I thought I was the only one who didnt like her Morticia.

If everything goes right, the show will be running on Broadway, with Nathan and Bebe as the leads until March 2011..
June 8th, 2010 - 10:19
please tell me this show is still gonna be before a live audience in august
June 8th, 2010 - 10:56
Krysta Rodriguez aka Wensday is so wonderful, IM IN LOVE!!!
June 8th, 2010 - 11:49
I saw this in previews, I loved it!
I wasn’t a huge fan of Bebe as Morticia, the wobble in her singing did it in for me. Morticia is supposed to be a sweet, sultry, sexy, maternal-like character. I just didn’t get that believe from her. I got a very (pardon my french) b****y believe from her. But anyways, I LOVED how they made the chorus as ancestors in all colorless and from different eras! Kevin Chamberlin is magnificant as Uncle Fester, and Krysta Rodriguez blew me out of the water as Wednesday!

so cool. lilith as morticia!!
June 8th, 2010 - 12:31
Oh man. I wish I may possibly see this. But i live all the way in Washington and I’m not a millionare who can go to New York for a day just to see a show.
June 8th, 2010 - 13:02
@twitchyjeff well he was originally the grown-up in the series, only by two years, and they should have kept it the constant at all times, and in this i guess, daughter brings boyfriend home is kinda more situatic than boy brings girl home.

Obviously this show has a lot going for it.
Unfortunately the plot has been done too many times already.
