Why has Family Guy gotten less and less funny the past few seasons?
Sure, there are still the occasional laughs, but in my humble opinion Family Guy just isn't what it used to be. The first few seasons were priceless. I miss evil Stewie and Brian the drunk. Whatever happened there? The Cleveland Show hasn't really impressed me very much either.

Produce the writers are having “writer’s check” they can’t reckon of anymore amusing things to place in the show so it suffers. Seinfeld got more amusing as the season went on and so did The Huge Bang scheme…watch those man

im not sure…. I mean I like the show..but the first 3 seasons were the best..its not as excellent but I’ll permanently like it. Stewie and Brian are the best on the show……Cleavland was my least favorite on Family guy and I dont see why they’d get on to a show out of him and not quagmire (spelled incorrect( the other guy is a whore and amusing as heck……but then again i’d not aspire him to leave Family guy…id just rather watch a show about him more then cleavland. he is nice and amusing but very dull lol. and american dad sucks also
now instead of stewie being a evil b.a.s.t.a.r.d he seems kinda gay lmfao. dresses like a girl and etc. I really find that very very very amusing though. but he really is not that mean anymore……not even to lois.

They seem to have tried to be too outrageous and they are just not amusing anymore for me personally, just nasty.

It’s so right, the ones from 2004 and 2005 are the best they ever had.

I disagree, and personally I am sick to death of the shows from the first seasons since the show is running every day sometimes 7 or 8 episodes on any given evening. There was a calculate when I wouldn’t miss one of the reruns but now I’ve be converted into selective as to which of the ancient ones I’ll watch since I’ve seen them so many times.
With a few exceptions I thought season 7 was as excellent or better than any that has come before it and the season opener for season 8 was epic. I miss evil Stewie too but I reconcile they felt like they went as far as they may possibly with that world domination business, especially after it all played out in a simulation in the the two part episodes ‘Stewie Kills Lois / Lois Kills Stewie’. .
