The remake (Family Guy S5E9) to the left and the original version from the show Anchors Aweigh (1945) to the right. The song is The Agonize Song. One of the most brilliant moments of Family Guy and Gene Kelly.

I remember watching this in the 80′s as a kid.I’m glad Family Guy brought in trade this fantastic memory.

@andthemouse I have a feeling that the colour might have been fiddled with in the family guy version produce the curtains and stuff are a different colour. Probably to do with them making the video look nicer or summat lol

i scan that the version with stewie dancing is the exact constant video with jerry in it just with jerry rotoscoped out. well if you intermission immediatly when it starts you notice some differences that dont add up!!!
Look at the thrones! the one with stewie in it is shorter and has Red even as the other is taller and has purple!

@jpopdancingkeyboard And how can you be so sure? Gene Kelly = singlehandedly one of the greatest dancers ever. I’m sure if he was alive, young and fit, he could easily do what MJ did and do it with more style =/ yes it is wrong to compare to extent but when dolts say MJ is the greatest dancer ever, not ONE OF but THE GREATEST, of course people start comparing. MJ wasn’t that fantastic in terms of dance and choreo >>

Yeah when this was used in Anchors Aweigh it was brillant, the way animation and live actors was incredible at the calculate and still is when you reckon how it was done, no computers at all. But when Family guy did, it was space filler. MacFarlan and the Family Guy team have gotten exceptionally bone idle.

@samdogdamndog2 Family Guy does that Flash In trade business a lot to tie into the show! Seth is a huge show and theater buff! Sometimes he spoofs musicals I have never seen in my life! I cracked up when I saw the dance with Stewie…the dance with Jerry is a classic!!
