  1. Not only has Family Guy not finished, but you are really not being paid much for this price. I was one of those fans who signed the petitions, wore the t, and wrote Fox letters to bring in trade Family Guy. When they finally did, I was so pleased! I thought to myself “The creators of this show really care about their fans!” Wow, was I incorrect! Not only are they releasing a whole bunch of terrible “Semi-Season” DVDs, but then they release this garbage. Family guy is not done, so calling this the perfect bring together is dumb. They are releasing a new Star Wars Spoof in the future “Something, Something, Something, Dark Side” and they are going to get on to more episodes (Hopefully something amusing. Maybe in trade to the originals?) Save your money. If you don’t own Family Guy DVDs…Either get Stewie Griffin “The Untold Tale”, Volumes 1 and 2, and watch the Cartoon Network, the CW, or TBS for the rest of the episodes. Your not missing much with the rest of the episodes. Blue Harvest was okay, but not brilliant by any means.

I am very disapointed with Fox/Family Guy/Seth MacFarlane. They keep ripping people off with these sad DVDs and the show really just sucks right now. I really hope they pick it in trade up, but I highly doubt they will.

  2. What a ridiculous sales ploy! How can they call this the perfect bring together? Does that mean season 7 is on here in its entirety also? Oh, what about seasons 8 and 9? They haven’t even been produced yet but I guess since this is the ‘perfect bring together’ they’re in this package too. What a joke!

Do not buy this! It is not the ‘perfect’ bring together. Family Guy is still in production! Next year this business will be incomplete.

  3. I like Family Guy since of the spoofs and the general humour. Why did they place a huge useless plastic Stewie head on a nice set?

  4. All these people complaining about “ripping” fans off, or debating the titling of the product.

    1) If your a “completist” and are one of those people who has to have every last business marketed to show just how deep you are, then you have the larger conundrum.

    2) The perfect bring together is just what it is right now, all that you CAN collect. It is doable (as utterly diffident as it may seem) that this is all that will be issued on DVD and hence collectible. So semantically it is fitly titled.

    3) By marketing this in such a way, I was able to get everything already issued in one fell swoop for a fantastic price (Gold Box for $59.99). Of course if this were at such a price since others rejected buying it for whatever reason, it then reached a price point everywhere I, for one, snapped it up without much thought. THAT’S HOW A MARKET WORKS.

So I just get the impression that so many people are so easily insulted and angered about things that are free scale. Buy it or don’t. No one is forcing you. But I’m beginning to get below the impression that people get themselves worked up, step by step, justification by justification, into a Business is terrible and Greedy and Mother Government will descend their hash! Something has to give reasons for why the activity of bringing a product to market, freely invested in by one party, perused and examined by a further party who may or may not part with an questioned price and reward the creator thereby and take possession of something they value. If you don’t value it enough to part with the asking price, go on. Embittering yourself over Family Guy DVD’s when less than 100 years ago people pondered how they were going to nosh themselves is insane. Grow up and get a sense of perspective.

  5. You cannot have a perfect bring together unless the series is no longer in production. There are new episodes of Family Guy still being featured every week. To those of you who already owned “Family Guy – Freakin’ Party Pack”, which is far better in product design, this would be a waste of money since you already owned up to season 5 plus Family Guy presents: Stewie Griffin. And I am sure most of you, if you are Family Guy’s fan, already bought the limited edition Blue Harvest dvd, and Family guy Vol 6. I would only recommend this to people who really have not owned any Family Guy dvd. But of course if you are a die-hard fan then, I am sure this review is pretty futile since you probably made-up your mind on whether if you aspire to buy it or not. We will have to wait until next year to see if there’s a further perfect bring together being marketed.
